POVERTY IS EXPENSIVE: ANOTHER EXAMPLE

When I returned from Nigeria on Thursday, I went straight to my freezer and brought out a wrap of frozen egusi soup that I prepared before going on holidays.

In a short time, I was enjoying my lunch. In Nigeria, one who returns to his or her house after a month holiday will have the option of either going to a restaurant to eat or preparing fresh meal. Imagine the amount of money one would have saved!

There are many other examples. Indeed, poverty is expensive. Countries fight to be rich because they know it is more expensive to be poor.

You can add your own example.

* Please don’t mind the picture. This was not the one I prepared. Besides, the soup has finished.

Wishing you all a happy weekend.
