1) THE AIM OF THE RESEARCH
To open the eyes of our people to the fact that there are many religious merchants in town who use mischievous signs and wonders to deceive and prey on unsuspecting victims.
2) WHAT THE RESEARCH WAS NOT AIMED AT
A) The research was not targeted at any particular person, religious group, or sect. Anyone you see insinuating or saying otherwise is doing that on his or her own accord.
B) The research is not against the existence of God or His powers. The research question did not say or insinuate that. Read it again.
3) THE BACKGROUND
We are blessed with rich human and natural resources, but yet we are the poverty capital of the world. Earlier research pinpointed poor religious indoctrinations as part of the reason.
4) PARTICIPANTS
The research was made open online (Facebook) for interested participants on my Facebook page, Fada Angelo Chidi Unegbu, and for everyone who will come into contact with the questionnaire. It lasted from November 7th, 2023, to November 13th, 2023.
5) COLLECTION OF EVIDENCES
Those with concrete evidence were required to send them privately to the Facebook Messenger of Maazi Ogbonnaya Okoro II, Charles Ogbu, or to my email, [email protected], before Monday, November 13, 2023.
6) NUMBER OF PERSONS WHO REACHED OUT TO US
Maazi Ogbonnaya II was contacted by two people whose stories were completely out of place. Charles Ogbu received messages from three people, whose evidence proved they did not understand the research question. No one sent anything to my email.
7) TOTAL NUMBER OF ESTABLISHED EVIDENCES SUBMITTED BY THE PARTICIPANTS
Zero
EXTRA GROUPS REACHED OUT TO OR WHO CONTRIBUTED:
A) EYE DOCTORS
Among the eye doctors who participated, none has ever seen, read, or heard that the sight of a visually impaired person was miraculously restored or given after a man or woman of God prayed or laid hands on him or her.
B) THE VISUALLY IMPAIRED COMMUNITY
Among the visually impaired participants, none has ever heard or read that the sight of any visually impaired person was restored or given after a man or woman of God prayed or laid hands on him.
They are of the view that what visually impaired citizens need is inclusion and equality, not being moved from one religious house to another.
9) THE KIND OR METHOD OF THE RESEARCH
online (Facebook) survey research and telephone discussions.
10) THE CONCLUSION
A) Till date, there is no established case, at least in Nigeria, of any visually impaired person whose sight was miraculously restored or given after a man or woman of God prayed or laid hands on him or her.
11) RECOMMENDATIONS
A) Once the doctors confirm that a person is permanently impaired visually, he or she should be sent to a special school for the visually impaired.
B) Visually impaired people whose sight doctors refer to as being irreversible are not sick and should not be treated as such. They require inclusion and equality, not pity.
C) It is primitive, inhuman, ungodly, and condemnable to be moving them from one religious house to another in search of miraculous healing. No one treats their European counterparts that way.
D) Government, religious institutions, and privileged individuals should have the visually impaired and other physically challenged persons in mind when building community structures.
E) Every Christian body should contribute to the education and training of the visually impaired and other physically challenged citizens. That is the most correct way we can imitate Jesus, who showed concern for the visually impaired in the 21st century.
F) Disability is a figment of the mind. In truth, no one is disabled.
G) Christianity is not about miracles, signs, and wonders but about service. At the end, we shall not be judged by the miracles or signs we received but by the services we rendered to the needy with our God-given talents and resources.
H) Prayer is good, but after prayers, remember to roll up your sleeves and begin to do that which you have prayed for. That is where your miracle is waiting for you.
You are free to accept or reject this research conclusion and recommendation. In the end, it is your choice. One thing is sure: your mentality determines, to a large extent, how successful you will be in life.
