1) My beloved Nigerian youths, the events of the recent times in our man-made hell-on-earth called Nigeria, made me proud for the first time of being a Nigerian. Since April this year, when I lost my dad, I have been off the social media as part of mourning and respect for my dad. But with the God-approved #EndSARS protest, I was forced this morning to pick up my pen once more to thank and encourage you, dear gallant Nigerian youths. I am so excited and I know God is as well. It is now clear to me that we are not children of baboons and gorillas but that of the living God who created us in his own image and likeness. It is now clear that all our supplications to God all these years were not in vain. After 60 years of blindness the scales have finally fallen off our eyes. After 60 years of servitude, the princes and princesses are now conscious of their identity and position in their father’s house. After 60 years of believing cheap lies and empty promises, the people finally remembered they have brains. The captives are eventually free.
2) As you protest remember that all the priests and pastors in this country are united with you in prayers. Elders and children are praying for you. The entire African continent is praying for you and are looking up to you. The entire world is following and praying for you. The angels in heaven are keeping vigil for you. The ancestors are praying for you. All men and women of justice all over the world are on your side.
3) Like our outspoken colleague Rev Fr Oluoma Chinenye John would say: your duty is to remove stones while ours as priests is to pray for your success. Priests and pastors should endeavour to encourage their members to join in the protest. We have even seen priests and pastors leading protests. We really commend them and wish to see many more of such beautiful pictures and videos. We should not get tired in removing the stones. The heavy lumps have already been removed. It remains just the lighter ones. Just remain focused. Do not give up. You are already there. The game is already over. In a very short time the entire darkness of police brutality, bad governance, terrorism, insecurity, joblessness will disappear and the light of peace and progress will break in.
4) Do not be left out in this protest. The spirit of the dead victims of police brutality and bad governance will forever haunt anyone who will discourage anyone from joining the #EndSARS protest through the perpetuation of evil in our society. Now is time to collectively exorcise that evil! If we have any problem in Nigeria right now, it is represented by those people who are not joining in the protest or are discouraging others from doing so. Do not be on that side of history!
5) Blessed are those who are participating in this protest for they shall forever be proud of themselves. They will never be enslaved by anyone again. Make sure you have a picture or video of you protesting. Frame it and hang it on your wall so that generations to come will know that you were one of the torchbearers of Nigerian liberation. Your children and grandchildren and your entire lineage will be proud of you. Posterity will immortalise you.
6) Go out and protest. Do not give in to lies or intimidations of a government that does not care. They will continue to do everything possible to blackmail, sabotage, and infiltrate the protest with hoodlums. Do not forget that they have the money, connections and international allies and agencies. They will try to discourage you or to win you to their side. Do not fall for their bait or intimidation. Their irrational and unpatriotic reactions have been contributive so far in advancing and sustaining the protest. We really thank them for that.
7) Remain steadfast and resolute because you are on the right track. Do not look back because the way backwards leads to perpetual slavery, hopelessness, misery and death. Do not be deterred. You have scored 70% already. Remain peaceful. Remain steadfast. Victory is now or never. God has heard your cries and he is telling you now to “fill the jars with water”. You can only do that by joining the protest. At the end God will surely turn the waters and blood from the sweats of our protest into the wine of liberation, justice, peace and progress. The jar is almost filled to the brim. Don’t give up. Remember that the God of justice is on your side. “The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light; those who dwelt in a land of deep darkness, on them has light shone.” Isaiah 9:2. This prophesy is about coming to fulfilment not just in Nigeria but in the whole of Africa.
