WHAT DO YOU KNOW ABOUT THE NIGERIÄN-BIÄFRAN WÄR?

How many books on the Nìgerian-Bīafran wăr have you read as a forner Easterner or as a Nīgerian?
What facts do you have about that event?
Do you know the main cause of the wăr? Do you know the events that led to the creation of Bīafra? Do you know who began the wăr?
Do you know about how your community participated in the wār? Do you know of the casuąlties sůffered by your community during the wąr?
What do you know about the Aburi Accord and why it was not adhered to by the Nīgerian gōvernment?
Do you know the reactions of various nations about the wąr or of the United Nations?
Do you know which countries sided with Nīgeria, the reasons they did so, and the ones that sided with Bìafra and the reasons they did so?
Some of us claim to be educated but can hardly answer these questions. In what are you then educated? It is your right to know all these!
The feeling that wär histories should be swept under the rug in order not to open new wounds is misleading and dangerous.
There is no German who is not taught the history of the 1st and 2nd World Wars which they participated actively in.
The aim is not to open wounds but to teach the young ones the path to justice, peace, and freedom abd the need to heal wounds.
Before you shout “I am not Igbo”, go and read at least 3 different books about the Nìgerian-Bìafran wăr. It will surely restore your brain to factory settings.
